Last week was a whirlwind! I went to Nashville, Tennessee for the Go Live Headquarters workshop; Go Live HQ specializes in helping creatives build websites for their business in TWO DAYS! It was crazy, fun, challenging, and oh-so-worth-it!
I met Promise Tangeman, the owner of Go Live HQ, at a photography conference in 2013. I have been wanting to build a website for my business (to supplement my blog) for quite some time, so when I heard that their Southern California business would be heading to the Southeast, I jumped at the chance and bought a seat at the workshop! I really wanted a site where people could feel like they could get to know me, my work, and get lots of information about my photography and portrait options. There were four designers and fifteen of us creatives wanting to build a website, and we all did it! It was so fun to see everyone’s finished product and have a champagne toast to all of the wonderful new sites that were LIVE after just 48 hours.
Please make sure to check out my new website – lucymacleishphotography.com. I hope you love it! Also, please bear with me as I change some things up on my blog so that it easily links back to my website. But yay for having a blog AND a website!
Thank you so much to the Skillery for hosting us, and to all of the AMAZING companies that sponsored the event. We LOVE our freebies! Y’all, check these companies out – Whites Mercantile, Epiphanie Bags, Kurandza, Miriam Designs, The Music Bed, Albumesque, and Garner Blue (not to mention my cute little ice cream cone USB, thanks Promise!). Also, huge thank you to Lucy Randall and Kerri Crutchfield for taking our headshots and photographing the event so beautifully! And also for being crazy fun to hang out with. Promise, Liz, Meg, and Ash, thank you for your creativity, kindness, and talent; I love my new site!
